The New England Patriots are 1-2 rolling into Week 4. After securing a win in Week 1, the Pats have lost two games in a row.

On Sunday, they will be traveling to play the San Francisco 49ers as they try to even their record to 2-2. Even though are shaky in Foxborough right now, some former Patriots didn't have a good Week 3.

Mac Jones is already on thin ice with the Jacksonville Jaguars coaching staff and now a former Super Bowl champ in New England went down with a season-ending injury.

NFL News: Trent Brown Is Out for the Remainder of 2024 Season

Per Ian Rapoport, Cincinnati OT Trent Brown will undergo surgery to repair a torn patellar tendon that he suffered in the Monday Night Football loss to the Washington Commanders.

He's expected to make a full recovery but that's a blow to the Bengals offensive line. Brown had two different stints with the Patriots. He first joined the team for the 2018 season, where the Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 to win Super Bowl LIII.

The Florida product ended up leaving for the Las Vegas Raiders before getting acquired by New England again in 2021.

Some of the best years of his career came with the Pats. In 2023, Brown posted career-highs in offensive grade (80.2) and run blocking grade (80.7) according to PFF.

Unfortunately for him though, he has a long rehab ahead of him. A torn patellar tendon takes around six months to fully heal. Thankfully, he'll be ready to go for the start of the 2025 season.
