The New England Patriots don't have the same expectations that they used to under Bill Belichick. The 2024 season is expected to be a grind as the Pats are at the beginning stages of a complete rebuild.

The Pats have Jerod Mayo and Eliot Wolf now running the ship. They drafted Drake Maye with the third overall pick but they also retained a bunch of guys in-house.

This offseason, they've re-signed Josh Uche, Kyle Dugger, Hunter Henry, Mike Onwenu, Kendrick Bourne, Christian Barmore, Rhamondre Stevenson, and Jahlani Tavai.

With all that money being shelved out, safety Jabrill Peppers went on his Instagram account and sent a clear message.

On his Instagram story, Peppers posted," Contract year, watch how I make some s--- shake."

Peppers is the final season of a two-year, $9 million deal. The former Michigan standout is a versatile chess piece in New England's defense. He is a reliable run-stopper when lined up in the box while being a solid pass-defender against running backs and tight ends. Peppers allowed a career-low 132 yards on 34 targets in 2023.

In addition last season, he was fifth among all safeties with an 87.3 overall PFF grade. He was also second in run-defense grade (90.7) after notching 17 stops, four tackles for loss, and a forced fumble.

This past campaign, the 28-year-old had 78 total tackles, eight pass deflections, two interceptions, and one sack.

Wolf has shown no hesitation in taking care of players inside the building. He should do the same for Peppers, whose been a constant contributor in Foxborough for the past two seasons.
