The New England Patriots are dealing with a lot of recent reporting about players not wanting to come play in Foxborough. Reportedly neither Mike Evans nor Bakey Mayfield had any interest in coming to New England to be a part of the rebuild under Jerod Mayo. Those can be understandable, but another report about LSU's Jayden Daniels was a little more concerning.

According to NBC Sports Boston reporter Phil Perry, Daniels "would really rather he not come to New England" because of the cold weather in Massachusetts. Considering that the Patriots have the no. 3 overall pick in the draft and the Heisman Trophy winner is one of the leading candidates to be their selection there, this left Pats fans worried.

Fortunately, Daniels addressed this rumor on social media on Tuesday and completely shut it down with a simple blue cap emoji, indicating that the report is fake.

Former Patriots coach Bill Belichick absolutely loved Daniels and had him at the top of his draft board. Now that he is no longer the decisionmaker in New England, will the Patriots still target him at No. 3?

Even if they do, they might not be fortunate enough to get their hands on Daniels. The Bears and the Commanders, the two teams selecting ahead of them, are also going to draft quarterbacks. Daniels might be off the board by the time it's the Patriots' turn.

On FanDuel Sportsbook, it is a toss-up between Jayden Daniels (+130) and Drake Maye (+170) for who is going to be the third overall selection. Head over there to take advantage of these odds and the sign-up offer of $150 in bonus bets.
