The New England Patriots are heading into Week 4 with a 1-2 record. After picking up a shocking win in Week 1, the Patriots have struggled immensely over the past two weeks.

In Week 3, New England got dominated by the New York Jets 24-3 in a rout on Thursday Night Football.

That contest was tough to watch for New England and their fanbase. New England finished with just 139 yards of offense and allowed seven sacks. At the end of the game, Drake Maye even took a few snaps.

There have been some questions that have risen about the quarterback position but head coach Jerod Mayo shut down the notion of the Pats bringing in a veteran quarterback.

Patriots News: New England Have No Plan of Adding Vet QB Right Now

When speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Mayo revealed the team won't bring in a veteran quarterback "at this current time."

The Pats offense has struggled mightly through three games. They are ranked last in the NFL in total defense (246.3) and passing offense (102), with 13 points per game.

Jacoby Brissett has been the starter all three games but has gone 42-of-69 for 368 yards and one passing score. That production isn't good enough but the Pats aren't looking to add another arm to that room.

It has already been reported that the Pats plan on putting Maye out there at some point this season, so adding another veteran to the team when they have Brissett is pointless.

They'll just roll with the punches right now.
