2. Kansas City Chiefs

I also wouldn't be surprised if Bourne joins the defending Super Bowl Champions this offseason.

Yes, the Chiefs were the NFL's best team last season, but that doesn't mean everything is perfect. Kansas City's WR room wasn't anything special outside of Rashee Rice nearly hitting 1,000 yards. Every other wideout on the team finished with 460 or fewer receiving yards and now there's one less body in the mix following Marquez Valdez-Scantling's release.

With tight end Travis Kelce not getting any younger, too, it might be wise for the Chiefs to target Bourne.

Playing with Patrick Mahomes could also help Bourne reach his true potential. After all, it was only in 2022 that Mahomes helped Smith-Schuster return to the 900-yard market after failing to reach the milestone in each of the three previous seasons. Smith-Schuster also earned a Super Bowl ring that year, which is an accolade that has eluded Bourne thus far.

The Chiefs don't have a ton of cap space ($9.6 million, per Spotrac), which could also entice them to sign a more affordable veteran like Bourne. His ACL tear means he might have to take a cheaper 'prove yourself' deal and there aren't many better destinations than Kansas City for a wideout to prove his worth.

If challenging for a Super Bowl outweighs his desire to get paid, joining the Chiefs could be the way for Bourne to go.
