New information sheds some light onto what happened between Jones and the Patriots, giving insight into why a split was necessary.

According to a report from NESN, Jones "blew up" on a Patriots' coach just one day before his release.

Jones is known for his fiery personality. He was reportedly upset that he did not start in Week 10, a game the Patriots would lose to the Colts, and let position coach Mike Pellegrino know about it during halftime.

He was released the following day after playing just 10 snaps. The report alleges Jones missed curfew the week prior, leading to his first-half benching.

It was obvious to anyone watching that Jones was unhappy on the sideline, and he told reporters after signing with the Raiders that the Patriots marriage "wasn't the best fit."

The former fourth-round pick out of Arizona State has two interceptions for TDs since joining the Raiders, though it's obvious he'd worn out his welcome in New England.
