The New England Patriots and their fans are excited for the 2024 campaign. It's a whole new era and regime that is in charge of running the show. They understand this is just the beginning stages of the rebuild so there is still some work to do along the roster.

Even though the 2024 NFL season hasn't officially started, it's never too late to look ahead. The college football season officially started around the nation and one top prospect is already a name to watch for New England.

Travis Hunter Should Be on New England’s Radar

The Colorado Boulders kicked off the season against the North Dakota State Bison on Thursday night and Travis Hunter put on a show.

In the fourth quarter, Hunter was seen making an impressive touchdown grab, fighting through contact near the right pylon.

That touchdown put social media in a frenzy and Ben Volin of the Boston Globe believes the Pats' goal for the 2024 season should be about landing Hunter.

The Florida native is one of the best players in college football due to his unique skillset. He plays both receiver and cornerback at a high level which makes him an exciting prospect. There has been some discourse on what position Hunter should play in the NFL but Thursday's matchup continued to showcase it doesn't matter. He's a baller.

In the win over North Dakota State, Hunter tallied seven receptions for 132 yards and three touchdowns while playing 55 offensive snaps. Meanwhile, he logged 69 defensive snaps, allowing just three catches for 18 yards.

He is the definition of a two-way star and would be a home-run pick if the Patriots were able to add him.

Yes, we know it's still early and there are a lot of different things that can change. But one thing that won't alter is the perception of Hunter. He's going to be one of the biggest names in the 2025 NFL Draft and would fill in a huge void on the Patriots roster.

We'll just have to wait and see if it will come to fruition.
