Patriots 2023 Schedule: Predicting the Score of Every Remaining Game
By Randy Gurzi
Week 14: Patriots @ Steelers - Dec. 7th
This should be a rather interesting game. The Pittsburgh Steelers are 6-4 but it’s hard to deny that they’re the worst team with a winning record right now. They do have some game-changers on defense including T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith, and Minkah Fitzpatrick but their offense is a mess.
They proved that in Week 11 when Kenny Pickett, who has constantly struggled yet found ways to win in the end, couldn’t get anything done against Cleveland. Outside of a 74-yard run from Jaylen Warren, that offense was non-existent.
It also proved to be the straw that broke the camel’s back. Just two days after the loss, Pittsburgh fired offensive coordinator Matt Canada. While that move made sense, the question is whether or not Pickett can turn it around with a new playcaller.
Chances are high that he won’t be the long-term answer but the change in OC will likely help. Plus, his struggles against the Browns are understandable because that defense is absolutely stacked.
Against the Patriots, it will be a different story. The offense will do slightly better while their defense can make life tough on New England’s quarterback — whoever that may be. That’s why this prediction has them falling thanks to a fourth-quarter comeback that will be heartbreaking and infuriating.
Score Prediction: Steelers 17, Patriots 13
Record: 3-10
