Patriots 2023 Schedule: Predicting the Score of Every Remaining Game
By Randy Gurzi
Week 15: Chiefs @ Patriots - Dec. 18th
The Kansas City Chiefs are the defending NFL champions but right now, they’re not playing like it. Their most recent game was on Monday Night Football against the Philadelphia Eagles and they suffered their third loss of the year — although if we're being honest, neither team was really that impressive.
Losing to the team that nearly beat you in the Super Bowl isn’t too surprising. It’s also not a reason to overreact. Having said that, there was a major concern that stood out for Kansas City. Once again, their lack of a true No. 1 wide receiver came back to haunt them.
Patrick Mahomes can only do so much, and unless these pass-catchers step up their game, the Chiefs might not be able to defend their title. Having said that, they’re still going to make it to the playoffs and as long as Mahomes is under center, they’re a dangerous team.
New England is reminded of that as they get handed a lopsided loss in Week 15. Covering Travis Kelce is going to be an issue and the ground game can also cause the Pats problems. Throw in a defense that can get heat on the quarterback and this one becomes a track meet for the road team.
Score Prediction: Chiefs 38, Patriots 10
Record: 3-11
