Patriots 2023 Schedule: Predicting the Score of Every Remaining Game
By Randy Gurzi
Week 16: Patriots @ Broncos - Dec. 24th
The Patriots play on Christmas Eve this year as they head to Denver to take on Russell Wilson and the suddenly red-hot Broncos. After a 1-5 start, Denver has now reeled off four wins in a row and is sitting at a respectable 5-5. Considering their slow start, and the issues they had in 2022, almost no one saw this coming.
Having said that, their wins haven’t been incredibly encouraging. Yes, they did shock the Chiefs 24-9 in Week 8 but that happened to be a game where Patrick Mahomes was sick. Outside of that, it’s been four games decided by one-score.
Denver defeated the Chicago Bears 31-28 in Week 4, the Green Bay Packers 19-17 in Week 7, the Buffalo Bills 24-22 in Week 10, and then the Minnesota Vikings 21-20 in Week 11. And in that last one, they were aided by some uncharacteristic drops from Minnesota.
All of that is being said to point out that New England has a chance in this one since the Broncos don’t typically blow teams out. Eventually, that will lead to an upsetting loss and the prediction here is that New England hands them that. It comes down to the wire but a late defensive stop lands Belichick and the Pats win No. 4 on the season.
Score Prediction: Patriots 24, Broncos 22
Record: 4-11
