With training camp underway across the NFL, countless transactions will happen throughout the summer as teams work to cut their roster down to 53 players and set their practice squads.

The New England Patriots will make several transactions between now and the end of August as they prepare for the 2024 regular season. However, until it's time for roster cutdown day, the Patriots will continue to bring in multiple players to see if they are a part of the team’s plans for the new season.

According to Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald, the Patriots signed defensive tackle Josiah Bronson, who recently spent time with the Miami Dolphins in the NFL and Memphis Showboats in the UFL this year.

The 27-year-old defensive lineman played one regular season game with the Dolphins in 2022 after Miami signed him to the practice squad earlier that year. Bronson stuck with Miami into the beginning of 2023 but was released last summer.

Before signing with the Dolphins, the former University of Washington defensive tackle spent time with the Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns, and New Orleans Saints.

Bronson will hope the reps and experience he picked up this year in the UFL will help him make the Pats’ 53-man roster or practice squad. With the Memphis Showboats, the 6-foot-3 defensive lineman had 12 total tackles and 1.5 sacks in 10 games.

The former Showboats defensive tackle has an uphill battle to make the roster this summer as he’s competing with several other players. However, Bronson should be an interesting player to watch at training camp.
