The New England Patriots are in the midst of a complete rebuild. They have Jerod Mayo and Eliot Wolf now calling the shots and leading the organization. After parting ways with Mac Jones, they drafted Drake Maye with the third overall pick to be the guy of the future.

They also added a bunch of pass-catchers this offseason in K.J. Osborn, Ja'Lynn Polk, and Javon Baker. The Pats also re-signed Kendrick Bourne.

Despite all those moves, the offense is still lacking a true No. 1 playmaker and Brandon Aiyuk continues to add smoke to the trade rumors surrounding him.

Brandon Aiyuk Says the 49ers Don't Want Him in San Francisco For the 2024 Season

Aiyuk posted a TikTok video of him talking to Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels.

In that call, Aiyuk says, "They [San Francisco] don't want me back."

Both Aiyuk and Daniels were teammates together at Arizona State so they have maintained a close relationship.

The 49ers picked the fifth-year option for Aiyuk and he's slated to make $14.1 million in 2024. Despite that, Aiyuk is looking for a mega extension. This offseason, Justin Jefferson ($35 million), A.J. Brown ($32 million), Amon-Ra St. Brown ($30 million), Jaylen Waddle ($28.25 million), and DeVonta Smith ($25 million) have all gotten paid massive deals.

Aiyuk is looking to cash in but that doesn't sound that will happen in San Francisco. In his four-year career, he's logged 269 receptions for 3,931 receiving yards, and 25 touchdowns, including back-to-back seasons with 1,000-plus receiving yards.

A playmaker like that in New England would transform the offense and give them an alpha on that side of the ball.

With Aiyuk seemingly available, the Pats should do everything in their power to acquire the 26-year-old.
