The Patriots are in the midst of a miserable season and tensions seemed to boil over in Sunday's loss to the Giants.

JuJu Smith-Schuster, who has just 159 yards in 2023 after posting 933 with the Chiefs last year, reportedly got into an altercation with WR coach Troy Brown on the sidelines following Mac Jones' second interception of the day.

We've now heard from Brown, who spoke to reporters about the incident Tuesday morning.

For his part, JuJu told reporters Sunday that his frustrations did not have to do with a lack of targets. He was upset the offense couldn't finish off a promising drive, and it's not difficult to read between the lines and understand the ire of his anger.

Mac Jones is suffering through a disastrous year, throwing 12 interceptions to just 10 touchdowns while the Patriots sit at 2-9. Smith-Schuster won a Super Bowl with the Chiefs last season, so it's a dramatic fall from grace for the former Steelers' star.

Both Brown and JuJu dismissed the scuffle, with Brown even saying that JuJu's attitude "has been fantastic."

Nonetheless, tensions are high in New England. With a game against the explosive Chargers on deck, the Patriots may have just wasted their easiest remaining chance at a win.

It's understandable that tensions are a bit high as a result.
