Patriots Division Rival Facing Massive Loss for Second Straight Year
The New England Patriots have seen a lot of turnover over the last couple of months. The list includes a new head coach, general manager, and some new players coming to town.
The Patriots will have their work cut out for them within the division. The New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, and Miami Dolphins are all expected to be good teams in 2024 but one of these squads was hit with a massive loss for the second straight year.
NFL News: Bills LB Matt Milano Out Indefinitely With Injury
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano tore his bicep during Tuesday's practice and is out indefinitely. Milano will undergo surgery on his torn bicep with the hope of returning later this season, possibly in December.
Last season, Milano fractured his leg in Week 5 against the Jacksonville Jaguars and that ended his season.
Now for the second straight year, Milano will miss an extended period, which spells bad news for the Bills but good news for New England.
In seven seasons with the Bills, the Boston College product racked up 488 total tackles, 58 tackles for loss, and 10.5 sacks. Buffalo has already experienced some turnover this offseason, as they shipped out Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans in April.
Over the last five months, Buffalo lost their best offensive playmaker and now they will be missing their top defensive player.
Buffalo certainly downgraded this offseason, which is music to the ears of Patriots fans. Despite this report, New England is still a long shot at +2400 to win the AFC East, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
