With the New England Patriots preparing to play the New York Jets in the regular season finale on Sunday, fans and media alike want to hear from head coach Bill Belichick and the other coaches about what they should expect in Week 18.

Patriots News: Bill Belichick Press Conference Change

Belichick was expected to speak to the media at 11 a.m. ET today. But instead of it being in-person, it will now be a video conference, per ESPN’s Mike Reiss. This immediately caught fans' attention, because outside of the heavily-restricted 2020 season, Belichick missing a press conference is almsot unheard of.

Reiss was quick to add, however, that believes it's just an illness for Belichick.

If that’s the case, Patriots fans should not be worried about Belichick not being on the sidelines for Sunday’s finale. Over the last few weeks, there have been a lot of rumors that this season could be Belichick’s last in New England as things have hit rock bottom.

The defense has been solid for the most part this season, while the offense leaves a ton to be desired.

If this is Belichick’s last game with the organization, one must believe that he would like to go out with a win against the Jets. However, no one knows what to expect from the Patriots’ front office brass, as most of the roster also needs to be retooled to compete in the division, let alone the conference.

Week 18 in the NFL is always interesting as we watch a lot of guys play potentially for new jobs elsewhere or make their case to stick with their current team.

Even with Belichick not being at the facility today, we know he will have his team ready to go as they try to end an abnormal season on a high note.
