The New England Patriots are looking to bounce back in Week 4 against the San Francisco 49ers after suffering an embarrassing loss to the Jets on Thursday Night Football. It will be an uphill battle on the road against a 1-2 Super Bowl contender who just had a brutal loss to the Rams last week.

However, the latest injury update from Patriots practice suggests another difficult game may be on the horizon for starting QB Jacoby Brissett. According to Patriots insider Doug Kyed, offensive linemen Vederian Lowe and Michael Jordan were absent in practice, as well as cornerback Alex Austin.

NFL News: Patriots' Offensive Line Woes Continue

The offensive line has been a major issue all year for the Patriots. New England has dealt with significant injuries since the training camp and preseason.

The team has eluded to the possibility of upgrades in the rotation but that hasn't come to fruition. Instead, the Patriots are gearing up to start their fourth different left tackle in four games this season. Demontrey Jacobs is the top healthy left tackle on the roster according to Kyed.

Vederian Lowe started at left tackle in Week 3 after Chukwuma Okorafor had the job in the season opener. Okorafor is no longer with the team, joining fellow offensive lineman Cole Strange on the sidelines.

Sidy Sow hasn't made his season debut yet but is expected to be the starter at left guard when he returns. Jordan has been starting in his stead through three games but the Patriots may have to find a different solution if he also misses the game against the 49ers. Nick Leverett would presumably be the frontrunner there.

On FanDuel Sportsbook, the Patriots are 10.5-point underdogs against San Francisco, the largest margin in any matchup of the week.
