The New England Patriots headed into the offseason wanting to vastly improve their lackluster offense. They were aggressive in their pursuit of Calvin Ridley but got spurred by him joining the Tennessee Titans instead.

The additions made to their receiving core were signing K.J. Osborn and bringing back Kendrick Bourne. The Patriots will likely snag a quarterback with the No. 3 overall pick but need to add more talent around him.

With that being said, an All-Pro wideout is open to being moved.

San Francisco's Brandon Aiyuk has made it known that he's looking for a new deal. He would like to secure one with the 49ers but if both sides can't agree, he's open to a new destination.

Aiyuk appeared on the "Nightcap" podcast hosted by Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson. He told Sharpe and Johnson, "I’m trying to get what I deserve. I feel like this season, this season playing football, I figured out who I was as a person and a player, what I bring to the table, what I bring to the locker room, what I bring to the organization. And just the value I hold when I walk in that building.”

He added, "I’ve done it the right way. If they don’t see the worth in that…” Aiyuk paused after and made the walking movement with his fingers.

The Pats should jump on the opportunity to acquire a certified game-changer. Aiyuk is only 26 years old and is coming off the best year of his career.

He was seventh in the NFL in receiving yards (1,342) with 75 receptions and seven touchdowns.

This was his second straight season with at least 1,000 receiving yards and he would immediately be the No. 1 weapon on that offense.

Additionally, the Pats are still sitting on $46.9 million in cap space per OvertheCap so they have the funds to sign Aiyuk to a mega extension.

Playmakers like this usually don't become available so New England would be wise to bring him in.

With free agency cooling down, New England needs to ace their remaining moves to improve their odds for the 2024 season.
