1) Jayson Tatum

Although he isn't the richest man on the team, Tatum is without a doubt the best player on this roster.

Tatum has really always been an elite scorer (30.1 points per game in 2022-23), but he's starting to become so much more than that. In addition to last season's gaudy scoring average, he also posted career highs in rebounds per game (8.8) and assists per game (4.6) as his defense and playmaking continues to improve.

We could finally see Tatum put together an MVP-caliber season, and while the big moves in the offseason were great, whether or not the Celtics hoist their 18th banner in the near future is still going to fall on their top talent.

Projected Roster

Guards: Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, Payton Pritchard, Dalano Banton
Forwards/Wings: Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Sam Hauser, Svi Mykhailiuk, Lamar Stevens, Jordan Walsh, Oshae Brissett
Bigs: Kristaps Porzingis, Al Horford, Luke Kornet, Wenyen Gabriel
Players on two-way contracts: JD Davison, Jay Scrubb, Neemias Queta
