9. N'Keal Harry

The only wide receiver that Bill Belichick drafted in the first round during his time with the Patriots, N'Keal Harry was taken with the 32nd overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. With Tom Brady entering his age 42 season, Harry was supposed to provide a much-needed wide receiving weapon for Tom Brady, and perhaps serve as a peace offering to entice Brady to stay as the quarterback grew impatient with his lack of weapons in his final years in New England.

Instead, Harry was a definitive bust in the NFL. In his rookie season, he missed the beginning of the year with an injury sustained in training camp and didn't make his NFL debut until Week 11. In his seven games, Harry caught only 12 passes for a measly 105 yards.

Even once he was fully healthy, Harry's production didn't fare much better. In 33 regular season games with the Patriots, Harry only had 598 yards receiving and four touchdowns. The former first rounder was traded in July 2022 to the Chicago Bears for a seventh rounder. Not quite the return on investment that you look for in a first round wide receiver.

And when it comes to the wide receivers drafted after N'Keal Harry in the 2019 draft, Patriots fans should shield their eyes. Deebo Samuel, A.J. Brown, D.K. Metcalf, Diontae Johnson, and Terry McLaurin were all taken after Harry in the 2019 draft. Belichick and co. might have been better off spinning a wheel of wide receivers than drafting Harry.
