Former teammates, Bill Belichick, and Robert Kraft were all in attendance for the Netflix roast of Tom Brady, which was hosted by comedian Kevin Hart.

Before the jokes started flowing, Julian Edelman, Drew Bledsoe, Rob Gronkowski, and Belichick, among others, were in a green room, just chopping it up and chatting after not seeing each other for a while.

Edelman and Bledsoe were on the “Games with Names” podcast and said that Belichick was opening up to the guys and having some fun. He was really excited to see everyone but the energy completely shifted when owner Robert Kraft walked in.

The tensions immediately rose just moments before the roast.

Edelman said, “The tension in that room though… could cut f–king glass.”

“It was very real, it was very real,” Bledsoe replied. “Belichick’s kind of holding court, while as he’s in the middle of this story, Kraft walks in and you guys all go over to say hi to Kraft. The last man standing, to hear him tell it, is my bro. He’s like, ‘Well, Bill’s telling this story, if I leave then he’s telling the story to nobody because everybody is saying hi to Kraft.’”

Edelman added that he tried to warn his former coach but he didn't see any of the signs.

He stated, "Of course [Belichick] didn’t f–king see it. [Kraft] didn’t see it, and I was like, ‘Oh s–t, this is going to be some fireworks,’ I just walked away. I didn’t want to be in there.”

After being together for 24 years, the relationship between Belichick and Kraft ended on a sour note.

It was reported that Kraft told Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank "not to trust Bill" which played a big role in Belichick not landing the Atlanta job.

Belichick had complete control when he was the lead man in New England but the past couple of years didn't go well, which led to both sides moving on.

Even after months of being away from each other, both sides still feel some type of way.
