Coming off an improbable road win against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1, the New England Patriots are looking to go up 2-0 to start the season as they have a winnable game in Week 2. On Sunday, Jerod Mayo & Co. are hosting the Seattle Seahawks in Foxborough and their task at hand may have gotten slightly easier.

NFL News: Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker Did Not Practice

According to Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan, Seattle's star running back Kenneth Walker III did not participate in the team's latest practice due to an oblique injury. Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald referred to Walker as day-to-day in his remarks on Wednesday.

Walker is not the only Seahawks player dealing with an injury. Starting linebacker Uchenna Nwosu is doubtful to play and tight end George Fant is questionable to suit up on Sunday.

The potential absence of Walker is particularly important. In Seattle's Week 1 win over the Denver Broncos, Walker carried a massive offensive load, rushing for 103 yards in 20 carries and scoring a touchdown. The former Michigan State star has been a huge part of Seattle's offense since he came into the league, recording a total of 1,955 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns in 30 games.

If Walker were to miss the game, second-year player Zach Charbonnet would get an increased workload. The Patriots, who only allowed 70 rushing yards in Week 1, will have a more favorable matchup in that case.

On FanDuel Sportsbook, the Patriots are underdogs despite being at home and Seattle dealing with key injuries. They are +3.5-point underdogs and are given +166 odds to win the game.
