The New England Patriots are in the midst of a three-game skid. It's been tough for both the fans and players on the team.

When you're losing, tensions can get high and that is supposedly happening with the Pats. On Friday, a report came out saying that the locker room was in near mutiny.

That immediately caused concern but later on Friday, multiple players came out to support their head coach Jerod Mayo.

Patriots News: Multiple Players Come to Jerod Mayo’s Defense

Publicly, one thing is being said but behind closed doors, the players have Mayo's back. A veteran defender was asked if Mayo lost the locker room and he responded, "Way false."

Offensively, a veteran also defended his coach, saying, "That’s bull (expletive)!"

Meanwhile, defensive captain Jabrill Peppers went on the record to defend his coach.

"There’s no excuses, but we’re dealing with a lot of things we didn’t foresee. Obviously, we wanna put a better product out there, but it’s not (Mayo) losing the locker room. He has the locker room. That’s never going to be an issue around here. He’s a great coach. He knows what he’s talking about. He’s played not only here, but in the league, and made it to the highest level."

The Patriots are certainly in a funk right now but multiple guys have come out to refute the report that came at Mayo.

When you're losing there's always going to be extra noise that surfaces. It's about how you respond to that and the Pats have taken the right approach.

Hopefully, it translates onto the football field, as the Patriots are 1.5-point favorites against the Miami Dolphins according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
