Robert Kraft Seemingly Angry With Patriots Coaches in Stunning New Video
By Jovan Alford
The New England Patriots suffered their fourth-straight defeat on Sunday, losing 30-17 to the Arizona Cardinals.
New England’s offense struggled throughout the first three quarters, scoring three points, thanks to a Joey Slye 50-yard field goal with two minutes left in the first half. The Pats didn’t score their first touchdown until the fourth quarter as rookie QB Drake Maye found wide receiver DeMario Douglas for a three-yard score.
New England’s offense put 311 yards of total offense but were a dismal 0-for-6 on third down conversions.
During Sunday’s broadcast, the cameras caught Pats owner Robert Kraft and his son Jonathan Kraft looking unamused with New England’s offense after they lost five yards on a run in the second quarter.
At first glance, it’s tough to see what the Krafts were saying, but someone on social media did a solid job lip-reading.
Jonathan Kraft, the President of the Patriots, took a shot at the offense saying, “The play-calling is terrible,” which was in response to what his father seemingly said.
On Monday, Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo was asked about his thoughts on the video clip from yesterday’s game.
"“I haven't seen anything like that, so I'm not sure what you're talking about,” he said (via Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald). “What I will say is they've been fully supportive of us as a team, and look, they're huge fans of the team they own. So whatever they say, that's what they said.""
It hasn’t been an easy season for the first-year head coach, who has been under fire from the Patriots fan base based on his coaching decisions and postgame comments.
That said, the Patriots’ ownership likely expected things to be rocky with a first-time head coach. But they still have expectations and this coaching staff hasn’t done a great job this season.
