The New England Patriots are finally at training camp. Veterans joined the rookies on July 22 and will have their first practice session on Wednesday.

The Pats handed out tons of money in free agency to hopefully improve, and WR Stefon Diggs got a nice portion of it. He signed a three-year deal with a base value of $63.5 million. That was a bit surprising since he tore his ACL last season with the Houston Texans, but he's already cleared for full participation at training camp.

Head coach Mike Vrabel commented on that news when speaking to reporters and gave praise for his star WR. Vrabel said, "It’s a testament to how hard he works," adding Diggs has no limitations.

Patriots WR Stefon Diggs Is a Full Go for Training Camp

This is growth, as Diggs was in the news for the wrong reasons a couple of weeks ago. He was seen with a pink substance at a boat party. While Diggs kept the details close to the vest, Vrabel spoke to the star receiver about making good choices.

That's something Diggs will need to continue working through, but it's clear he's putting in the work on the field and in the weight room to return to the gridiron. He went down with that torn ACL in Week 8 against the Colts, which was in late October.

He quickly underwent surgery and was reportedly ahead of schedule in terms of his recovery. Eight months removed from the injury and he has no restrictions, ready to hit the practice field starting Wednesday.

This is a major development considering he'll be the No. 1 WR for Drake Maye in his sophomore season. This offense badly needed juice at the receiver position, and the Maryland product can provide that.

In his 10-year career, Diggs has supplied 857 receptions for 10,491 receiving yards and 70 touchdowns. That's a lot of production in a room that only has two receivers over 30 years old (Diggs and Mack Hollins).

His knowledge will be a major asset for these younger receivers, and getting out on the practice field is something that can go a long way. He will start building on his rapport with Maye while other WRs can see the way he practices.

Practice habits are underrated. That is an area that can help the young players on this team grow. And this news also shows how important it was for Diggs to get out on the field.
