NFL signings have been flying around left and right since the legal tampering period opened on Monday at Noon ET.
The New England Patriots had the most available cap space in the league, and made sure they handed out a handful of contracts. They've agreed to terms with Milton Williams, Harold Landry, Carlton Davis, Robert Spillane, and Mack Hollins.
While they seek to improve this roster, former QB Mac Jones is still on the open market. After spending one year with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Jones' rookie contract expired, allowing him to hit the market. The Jags made it clear they won't bring him back, signing Nick Mullens to a two-year deal.
With Jacksonville not an option, one of the worst teams in the AFC seems to be interested in Jones. According to Titans reporter Buck Reising, Jones has been linked to Tennessee as a potential option.
Reising also named Zach Wilson as a possible choice, but he signed a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins.
The Titans have a ton of question marks at that position. They currently have Will Levis in the room while owning the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Rumors linked Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders as possible options for that pick. Russell Wilson is another name being thrown out there for Tennessee.
All of those options are better than Jones, but he's someone who has emerged for the Titans. The 26-year-old has 49 starts under his belt, going 20-29 in those games. He's completed 65.9% of his passes for 10,590 passing yards, 54 passing touchdowns, and 44 interceptions.
Over three seasons with the Patriots, he posted one winning season as a rookie but followed that up with two disappointing seasons. The Alabama product will land on his feet somewhere as a backup QB. And that may be the Titans.
We'll have to see if anything comes to fruition, but the former Pats QB is looking to find a new location for the 2025 season.
