The New England Patriots have leaned on the passing game for years, Tom Brady‘s arm has made a running game irrelevant for the Pats.

The AFC Championship game against the Denver Broncos proved once and for all that the New England Patriots need to establish a strong running game.  Injuries to LaGarette Blount and Dion Lewis hindered the ability for the Patriots to even attempt the running game.

Also, with quarterback Tom Brady on the tail end of his career, a great runner would benefit young Jimmy Garoppolo when he takes the reigns on this team.

While the great backs such as Ezekiel Elliott and Derrick Henry will be gone before New England gets an opportunity to make a pick, there are some running backs that they should take a look at.
