2014 Year in Review: May Edition

With 2014 winding down and 2015 on the horizon we are going to take a look back at the biggest headlines that happened not only in Boston sports, but nation wide. For the each of the next 12 days (sans Christmas) we will take a look at each month and review some of the stories from that month so we can reflect as we get ready for the new year.
The month of May entered as many Boston fans were looking forward to the warmer temperatures and seeing the Sox and Bruins continue to battle in their respective seasons. While one ended prematurely, the other continued to struggle throughout May and beyond. Outside of New England there were future stars being drafted in the NFL Draft, a former Sox star throwing a no-hitter, and a two NBA teams steamrolled their opponents in the NBA playoffs. So without further ado lets dive into the month that was May 2014.
