There was a lot of excitement leading up to the NFL Draft because of the talent pool in this years draft, with guys like Jadeveon Clowney, Blake Bortles, Sammy Watkins, and Johnny Manziel there were plenty of future stars awaiting to get their name called. Clowney was chosen first going to the Houston Texans in efforts to add a monster DE to an already impressive defense. Bortles went to Jacksonville where he looks to establish himself as the quarterback down in north Florida, while Watkins went north to Buffalo. Other notable picks that have already made an impact this season are Odell Beckham Jr. getting drafted at the #12 spot to the Giants, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix getting drafted by the Packers at the #21 spot, and of course Johnny Manziel was chosen #22 by the Cleveland Browns. The New England Patriots held the 29th pick in the draft and decided to take a chance on Dominique Easley out of Florida, and while the DT has played in two games and recorded an interception against Matt Cassel he wound up on the injured reserve list on December 17th.
