The bromance continues to grow between New England Patriots tight ends Martellus Bennett and Rob Gronkowski.

Martellus Bennett and Rob Gronkowski have mutual respect for one another. The New England Patriots tight end duo haven’t really had monster games at the same time, but just the threat of it has opposing defenses preparing for a possible apocalypse on the football field.

Thus far this year, the duo has combined for 44 catches totaling 742 yards and six touchdowns.  And the scary part is they haven’t really been 100 percent all year.  Another scary (well a good scary) is the growing friendship they have off the field as they continue to push one another.

We’re not Facebook friends, I haven’t friended him on Facebook, but other than that we’re real-life friends,” Bennett said Wednesday via WEEI.

Bennett said Grownkowki was there from the start or him and they both try to help one another out as much as they can, which means there is no competition.

"“It’s been the same since Day 1,” he said. “We’re just trying to push each other to get better. I ask him things, he asks me things and we’re just trying to acclimate as much knowledge from each other as we can.”"

On a light sided note, Bennett said he would go see a movie with Gronk if he wanted to.

"“I usually go see mostly animated films,” Bennett continued. “You’d have to ask him. Most times when you go to movie with friends, it’s just like anything else in football in the locker room it’s a compromise. Usually you get to see something no one wants to see.”"

Kyle Van Noy:  Newly acquired linebacker Kyle Van Noy is happy to be in New England, but was surprised by being traded from the Detroit Lions to the Patriots on Tuesday.

As a starter with the Lions, Van Noy is suddenly a player who will be searching for a role with the Patriots.  He is looking forward to getting things rolling with his new team.

"“I mean, I was shocked,” Van Noy said Thursday via NESN. “To go from starting there to traded, I was shocked. I respect everybody with the Detroit Lions. They’ll all be my guys there, and (I’m) just grateful for the opportunity to come here and get it going.”"

Vincent Valentine:  Rookie defensive tackle Vincent Valentine practiced on Thursday.  Valentine is still nursing an injured back and has missed the last couple of games due to the injury. He has been listed as limited as well as Jamie Collins, Martellus Bennett, Julian Edelman, Elandon Roberts, Malcolm Mitchell, Brandon Bolden and Woodrow Hamilton.
