New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman says he expects a tough battle when his team takes on the Baltimore Ravens in a Monday night showdown.

It is always a fight when the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens step on the field.  With NFL playoff implications on the line, next Monday’s showdown between the two teams is expected to be a close game as the two always fight it out.

Speaking to reporters following Sunday’s 26-10 win over the Los Angeles Rams, Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman says he is expecting quite a fight when the teams square off in prime time.

More from New England Patriots

"“Any time you play Baltimore, you know it’s going to be a fistfight,” Edelman said via NESN.  “If you like football, this is a good football game to watch.  Those guys play hard.  They’re well-coached.  And they play us well, every time.  We’re just going to have to have a really good, solid week of practice to get ready.”"

The Patriots will be facing a Baltimore team that is on fire lately.  They walloped the Miami Dolphins on Sunday and comes into Foxborough with the top defense.  Edelman, Tom Brady and the offense will have quite the test without Rob Gronkowski and now without Danny Amendola.

As the team has a couple of tough games ahead, Edelman emphasized that the team is focused on the Ravens and not looking ahead to another showdown with the Denver Broncos.

"“Screw whoever is after that. We’re really focused on Baltimore,” Edelman said. “You can never look past Baltimore. Those guys, they’re a really good team always. And they always play us hard. It’s going to go down to the end, and we’re just going to have to have a good week of practice.”"

Tom Brady lauds Super Bowl XLIX victory:  Tom Brady enjoyed his victory in Super Bowl XLIX the most.  The all-time winningest quarterback ranked the team’s fourth Super Bowl victory as his favorite when asked about which of his 201 wins he enjoyed the most.

"“One win? Probably the Seahawks Super Bowl,” he said via the Boston Herald. “Just because it was so long — three of the first four years I played to win, it was so strange. I don’t want to say you took it for granted, but you took it for granted. Just kind of, ‘Yeah, we’re going to be in the playoffs every year and we’re going to the Super Bowl every year. It’s like what is the big deal? Our season always ends in February anyway.’”"

Many Patriots fans will rank that victory as their favorite also.
