New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller have mutual respect for one another.

Tom Brady still has nightmares of Von Miller and will be looking out for the linebacker when the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos face off Sunday.  While Brady has gushed about the skills of Miller, the defensive talent has complimented Brady as the toughest quarterback he has faced.

Miller has had a lot of success against Brady.  In last year’s AFC Championship game, he not only got to the Patriots quarterback for a couple of sacks, he also recorded an interception.  In a piece for The Players’ Tribune, Miller complimented Brady as a tough quarterback to defend because of his command of the field.

"“What makes him the best isn’t just his accuracy throwing the ball,” Miller wrote. “His presnap vision is the best I’ve ever seen, bar none. He’s able to predict your play just based off the presnap coverage. You can disguise your look all you want, but he’s still able to move guys around and forecast what’s coming. Brady almost turns the whole game into a seven-on-seven drill because of how fast he’s able to get rid of the ball.”"

Brady will have to get rid of the ball quick this Sunday to keep Miller from having the kind of game he had in that AFC Championship Game.  The Patriots as a team should be more prepared than that game even without Rob Gronkowski who Miller listed as the toughest receiver he has ever faced.

Just as the Broncos linebacker acknowledged the greatness of Brady, the admiration was returned.  In his news conference Wednesday, Brady gave Miller the ultimate compliment by comparing him to the great Lawrence Taylor.

Wednesday workouts:  The Patriots worked out three CFL players Wednesday at Gillette Stadium.

Those players included running back Shakir Bell, defensive tackle Michael Brooks and linebacker Deon Lacey. Most notable is Lacey who went to West Alabama with Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler.

Lacey spent time with the Dallas Cowboys before playing three seasons with the Edmonton Eskimoes.  CFL players aren’t eligible to sign with NFL teams until Feb. 9.

Injury report: Cornerback Malcolm Butler has landed on the injury report with a hip injury.  Butler, who suffered the injury in the third quarter of Monday’s game against the Ravens, was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice.

Also limited on Wednesday were TE Martellus Bennett, DB Jordan Richards, LB Elandon Roberts, DB Eric Rowe and WR Matthew Slater.  Danny Amendola did not participate in practice.
