New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has had a fantastic season, but could care less about winning MVP.

When it comes to success, Tom Brady has done it all.  following another fantastic regular season, the 39-year-old Patriots quarterback is in the mix to win his third league MVP, but winning the honor is the last thing on his mind.

"“I think for us it’s about what this team can accomplish, and certainly not – those are very nice things to have, to win a certain award, but I think for me, the most important thing has always been what our team can achieve and our goals are still ahead of us,” Brady said Thursday.  “That’s where my attention has been focused.”"

Despite missing the first four games of the season, Brady has led the Patriots to another 14-2 season.  He has passed for 3,554 yards with 28 touchdowns and just two interceptions.  Most importantly, he has been more mobile in the pocket.  His ability to create more time with his foot movement and pocket awareness has led to some impressive plays in the passing game.

Heading into the postseason with a chance to win his fifth ring, Tom Brady has attributed his ability to play at such a high level at his age to consistency in preparation. A lot of that has to do with the focus he talked about.

"“I’m pretty consistent I think with the preparation,” he said.  “I try to watch as much as I can film-wise, and try to get mentally and emotionally right and physically get the work in at practice.  There’s a lot to prepare for mentally, physically and emotionally.  You’re always trying to find the right balance, but I feel like I’m in a good place.”"

While the Patriots are heavy favorites over the Houston Texans this Saturday, Brady knows he has a big challenge ahead facing the NFL’s No.1 defense.  He is expecting a “tough fight.”

Brady removed from injury report: The Patriots quarterback will be healthy entering the divisional playoff game.  Tom Brady was one of three players removed from the team’s injury report on Thursday.

Besides Brady, the team has also removed special team’s ace Matthew Slater and rookie cornerback Cyrus Jones.  All three were full participants on Wednesday.  Running back LeGarrette Blount missed his second consecutive practice due to injury and rookie wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell was limited with a knee injury.
