Patriots Gridiron News: Mike Tomlin Provides Bulletin Board Material

The New England Patriots will host the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship game and one coach has already provided bulletin board material.

Well that didn’t take long.  Following Sunday night’s win over the Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was heard firing up his players with a soundbite that included calling the Patriots ‘a**holes.’

While neither team needs much to get motivated for this Sunday’s showdown, the video in which Tomlin tells his team to take a low profile, will definitely add some motivation for New England.  The video appeared on Antonio Brown’s Facebook live session Sunday night and already has more than 1.1 million views.

More from New England Patriots

"“When you get to this point in the journey, man, not a lot needs to be said.  Let’s say very little moving forward.  Let’s start our preparations,” Tomlin is heard saying in the live session via ESPN.  “We just spotted these a**holes a day and a half.  They played yesterday.  Our game got moved to tonight.  We’re going to touch down at 4 o’clock in the f**ing morning.  So be it.  We’ll be ready for their a**.  But you ain’t got to tell them we’re coming.”"

The live footage is not keeping a low profile.  Patriots coaches and players will get wind of Tomlin’s words and although they will brush them aside publicly, you better believe each player will remember those words when the two teams battle it out for a chance to go to Super Bowl LI.

Chris Hogan:  The Patriots wide receiver had a good playoff debut, but left the game in the third quarter with a thigh injury.  Before his departure, Hogan hauled in four targets for 95 yards.  Although it is an injury worth watching, Hogan indicated after the game that it was nothing to be concerned about.
