Just eight days away from Super Bowl LI, the New England Patriots returned to full strength at practice with the return of Stephen Gostkowski and Nate Ebner.

The New England Patriots practiced under grey skies Saturday morning, but they returned to full strength. Place kicker Stephen Gostkowski and special teams ace Nate Ebner both returned to practice.

Gostkowski missed practice due to illness on Thursday and Friday, while Ebner had been out with a concussion suffered in the AFC Championship Game. The final injury reports for the Patriots and Atlanta Falcons look very different.

More from New England Patriots

The Patriots listed WR Danny Amendola (ankle), TE Marcellus Bennett (knee), RB Brandon Bolden (knee), MLB Dont’a Hightower (shoulder), WR Chris Hogan (thigh), WR Malcolm Mitchell (knee) and DE Jabaal Sheard (knee) as limited.

Atlanta has a much smaller injury report. DE Dwight Freeney did not practice Wednesday, but it was not due to injury. C Alex Mack (fibula) did not practice all week, and WR Julio Jones (toe) returned to practice but was limited on Friday.

All of the Patriots listed on the injury report are listed as questionable, but are expected to play. Julio Jones will play for Atlanta. The big concern for the Falcons is the status of Alex Mack.  The offensive lineman sat out with the sprained ankle he suffered in the NFC Championship Game. Mack missed just six snaps when he went down but he is reported to be in a lot of pain and is dealing with significant swelling.

As always, New England will aim to keep a bit of suspicion about their players status for the Super Bowl. You like will not know which players will be left off the active roster with injury or as a healthy scratch until 90 minutes before the game when they must make it known.
