Tom Brady will grace the cover of EA Sports’ Madden NFL 18 this August, becoming the second New England Patriots player on the cover in as many years.

EA Sports broke the news today that New England Patriots QB Tom Brady will be their cover boy for Madden NFL 18.

Last season, TE Rob Gronkowski was on the cover. It is the first time in the nearly 30 year existence of the Madden franchise that teammates have appeared on the cover in back-to-back years. The cover features Brady in one of his most iconic poses, his loud yell that comes either pregame or after a huge play.

Here is Brady’s cover, complete with G.O.A.T Edition at the top.

It’s honestly surprising that Tom Brady has never been on the coveted cover of the game before given his accomplishments in the NFL. Even after his MVP seasons, Brady never got the call. Now, after completing the greatest comeback in the history of the Super Bowl, Brady will grace the cover.

More from New England Patriots

Some fans, of course, will be worried about the “Madden Curse” but Brady himself is not. He released a video on Facebook proclaiming there is no curse.

"“There’s no such things as curses. It’s a total myth.”"

Perhaps NFL MVP Matt Ryan would be on the cover if he and the Falcons hadn’t blown a 25-point lead in Super Bowl LI, but Brady seems excited about the cover.

Who knew the spotlight on Tom Brady could burn even brighter? Madden is one of, if not the largest, sports video game franchises of all-time. Brady’s cover will be in stores all over the world, and I’m sure Patriots haters will absolutely love it.

Madden NFL 18 will be on store shelves on August 25th.
