Another area where the Patriots can look to win the turnover battle is on special teams. The Jaguars aren’t that great on the punt or kick return, and the Patriots have Pro Bowlers like Matthew Slater barreling down to make plays. He, or someone like Johnson Bademosi, could be a factor in today’s AFC Championship Game. Even if they don’t force a special teams turnover, New England could limit Jacksonville’s offense by pinning them deep within the 10-yard line.
Ryan Allen is a very good punter, and yes, that left leg could be a factor in a Patriots win. As could Gostkowski’s right if this is a defensive battle. The Patriots have a clear special teams advantage, and you know that Bill Belichick will do his best to exploit that matchup.

The Patriots and Jaguars will kick off at 3:05 PM at Gillette Stadium. The game will be broadcast on CBS, with Jim Nantz (play-by-play) and Tony Romo (analyst) on the call once again. The winner will advance to play either the Vikings or Eagles in Super Bowl LII on February 4th in Minneapolis, MN.
