The Boston Celtics are playing great so far in the playoffs. The basketball wizard, Brad Stevens is working his magic once again and showing that he is without a doubt the best coach in the NBA.

As soon as I heard that Kyrie Irving would not be returning this season I was deflated. The chance at an NBA championship seemed to be over. How are the Boston Celtics going to win without Irving, and Gordon Hayward?

After the Celtics dominant wins in their first two games of the playoffs, my hope is building. Terry Rozier is playing out of his mind. Marcus Morris is having some dominant performances, and Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are putting up phenomenal performances. Now even though he isn’t out there on the court it seems like everything Stevens touches turns to gold.

Up until Irving’s injury, we saw a different Kyrie. Irving was playing great defense and also was sharing the ball much more. He only had 6 games where he scored 35 points or more. Also, Irving’s player efficiency rating (25) was the best of his career.

Also, the team’s performance in the playoffs proves how great Stevens is. The Celtics don’t have a whole lot of talent, but Stevens is getting the most of what he has been dealt. Rozier is averaging 23 points per game. Morris is averaging almost 20 points a game. Even Al Horford, the guy who averaged 12.9 points this season is averaging 20 points in the playoffs.

What Brad Stevens has been able to do is amazing. He could possibly lead this team to an Eastern Conference championship, and for all we know, maybe an NBA Championship.

Steven’s ability to make any team successful shows that he is the best coach in the NBA. No matter what is thrown at him he is able to create a gameplan that allows the Celtics to succeed.
