A deep threat

Gordon can take the top off of defenses. He is very talented and can make some amazing plays.

The Patriots are lacking in this department, even when Julian Edelman returns. The only guy I trust catching a jump ball is Rob Gronkowski. After that, there are just a ton of short receivers.

I think the addition of Gordon would only improve the Patriots passing game. They need bodies and Gordon would definitely be an upgrade. If the Patriots signed him, I would be comfortable having him No.2 or No.3 on the depth chart.

Gordon has never had a decent quarterback. Imagine the numbers he would put up with the greatest quarterback of all time. I think Tom Brady and Josh Gordon could become a deadly duo.

Just imagine Brady launching the ball up and having Gordon leap up in the air to score a touchdown. That sounds pretty good when you consider the caliber of wide receivers the Patriots are currently dealing with.

It seems to be a win-win scenario for the Patriots.
