Will Josh Gordon play?

This will likely be a question that won’t be answered until prior to the game.  Unless there is something else holding him back, Josh Gordon should make his New England Patriots debut this Sunday.

Not only does the offense need him as at least a decoy, they need him to make a couple plays to inspire the team and get the crowd going early.

Although he is still listed as limited in practice, the team has been encouraged by his ability to catch up and also his approach. Anyone who has been following the problems of Josh Gordon knows his love for football is a major question.  If he finds that motivation to re-invent his NFL career, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots will have a viable weapon going forth.

Whether that journey begins this Sunday is something Brady himself doesn’t know the answer to.

During his appearance on Westwood One’s Monday Night Football broadcast, Brady told host Jim Gray that he wasn’t sure of Gordon’s availability, but said the dynamic receiver was working hard.

"“I’m not going to make any projections or expectations,” Brady said, as transcribed by NBC Sports Boston.  “I just met him a week ago.  He’s working to learn.  He’s working to [learn] how we do things.  Whenever he’s back healthy and out there, that’s when we get to work and see what we’re all capable of when we’re out there.  It’s just a work in progress.  We’re working through a lot of things.”"

After what took place last Sunday night, a Josh Gordon not at full strength is still better than the playmakers at the wide receiver position they currently have.
