1. The Buffalo Bills don’t have a quarterback

The New England Patriots don’t have to worry about Buffalo’s passing game. When Derek Anderson is your opposition’s quarterback all you can do is smile.

More from New England Patriots

Anderson is a career backup quarterback. He is now 35 years old and I was surprised to hear that he was still in the league.

Last week against the Indianapolis Colts, Anderson had a horrific game. He threw for under 200 yards and was picked off 3 times.

Tom Brady tore up the Colts defense when the Patriots played them so Anderson’s performance is more of an indictment on his poor play, and not that the Colts suddenly have an amazing defense.

So I am expecting a great performance from the Patriots defense. New England’s secondary should secure a few interceptions, and I think Adrian Clayborn will be in Anderson’s grill all day. The Patriots may even hold Anderson under 150 passing yards.

The New England Patriots defense should be amazing on Monday Night. Maybe we will see the Patriots first shutout of the season.
