2. Good goaltending

The Boston Bruins have had some goaltending issues. It seems like this happens every season.

Once again Tuukka Rask got off to a rough start. In his first 5 games, he was giving up more than 2 goals a game.

Jaroslav Halak had to step up to the plate early on in the season. The goaltender was playing out of his mind. This season Halak is 12-5-2 with a 2.19 goals against average and a .930 save percentage.

Now both goaltenders have been iffy as of late. The Bruins entered the holiday break on a disappointing note losing to the Carolina Hurricanes 5-3. It was one of Tuukka Rask’s worst performances as of late.

Hopefully, the Bruins will have consistent goaltending for the rest of the season. Boston will need to be bailed out of a few games by Jaroslav Halak and Tuukka Rask. The team won’t be lighting the lamp every single night.
