Through 40 games Pastrnak has 24 goals and 26 assists on the season. If he keeps scoring at this pace he is on his way to a 100 point season which would be absolutely amazing.
It is fair to say that Pastrnak is an early Hart Trophy candidate. If he was in the running for the award at the end of the season he could become the first Bruin since Phil Esposito in 1974 (the Bruins traded Joe Thornton in the middle of his 2006 Hart Trophy-winning season so he doesn’t count).
If Pastrnak is putting up these numbers now, imagine what he could do in the true prime of his career? The Boston Bruins could have a star in the palm of their hands who could become a legend in the city of Boston.
