2. J.D. for MVP

There isn’t a lot of good things about the Red Sox’s season so far, but one guy has been playing great, J.D. Martinez.

Martinez’ bat is on fire. So far this season he has a .381 batting average with 2 home runs and 7 RBI’s. If he keeps this up he will put up some amazing numbers.

This would be pretty interesting for Red Sox’s fans if Martinez was to win the MVP. The last time we saw a team have two straight MVP’s was 2011-2013 when the Detroit Tigers had Justin Verlander win in 2011 and then Miguel Cabrera won it two years in a row.

The Boston Red Sox will definitely need Martinez to continue to hit the ball all over the park. Maybe we will even see him in the Home Run Derby?

So far J.D. Martinez definitely looks like an early candidate for the AL MVP.
