Mookie Betts

Just like J.D. Martinez, I think that Mookie Betts could sneak his way into the All-Star game off of popularity. Betts is one of the most popular players in baseball today.

This is an important season for Betts. He will be heading to the free agent market and will be getting a major payday. Hopefully, the Red Sox will be the team that breaks out the checkbook.

Betts is having a decent season. So far he has a .280 batting average with 9 home runs and 27 RBIs.

That may be quite the season for some players, but Betts was supposed to be better. He was supposed to be one of the best hitters on the Red Sox’s roster.

Still, Betts’ popularity could get him into the 4th All-Star game of his career, but the right fielder is definitely having a down season. The Red Sox will need him to improve if they want to make the playoffs.
