3. Paul Pierce

There was one guy that stuck with the Boston Celtics through the good times and the bad. Paul Pierce was loyal to the Celtics and he would eventually get rewarded for his loyalty.

More from Boston Sports

Pierce was drafted by the C’s in 1998. He was looked at as the future of the team. Maybe Pierce could get this struggling team to do something greater?

It wasn’t a quick turnaround. For a long time the Celtics relied heavily on Pierce and even though he performed well the team was unable to build around him. That all changed in 2008.

The Boston Celtics were able to acquire Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett. Finally Pierce had some teammates that were on the same talent level. Now the Celtics had a chance at winning a championship and that is exactly what they did in 2008.

But none of this would have happened without Paul Pierce and his loyalty to Boston.
