New England Patriots: 3 stars from grooving of NY Jets

3. Jamie Collins

We really didn’t know what we were getting when the Patriots signed Jamie Collins in the offseason. He performed well with New England but once he left it wasn’t pretty.

So far in 2019 Collins has been amazing. He is flying all over the field and making some great plays. Besides Stephon Gilmore, he is the best player on New England’s defense. With all the talent on the roster that is quite the honor.

In Week 3 Collins once again found his way into the backfield. He racked up 2 sacks and 7 total tackles (3 for a loss).

New England’s linebacking corps is a monster. When you combine Collins with Dont’a Hightower, Ja’Whaun Bentley, Elandon Roberts and Kyle Van Noy you instill fear in every team you face.

If the Patriots want to win in Week 4 they will need Collins and the defense to show up and perform well once again.
