New England Patriots GameDay: 5 players who will shine vs. Redskins
Josh Gordon, WR
New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon is overdue for a couple explosive plays.
That will happen against the Washington Redskins secondary. If the running game gets going early, Tom Brady will do some play action and look down field to Gordon to win matchups against Josh Norman if the two are matched against one another.
Also, expect some quick slants and for Gordon to not dropped passes like he did last week against the Buffalo Bills.
While Josh Gordon was on the injury report the majority of the week, he was taken off which means he should be relatively healthy for this one. If he is, Brady will look his way for some big plays early.
In all, it will be a week in which the New England Patriots unleash Gordon and perhaps he will have his biggest game stat wise since joining the team for 11 games last season. After the ugly performance the offense displayed last week, they will bounce back with an explosive performance this week.
If they don’t against this team, then there will be true signs of concern.
