A few weeks into the new season, and the Boston Celtics already look like a completely different team than the 2018-2019 group.

The 2019-2020 NBA season is still young, but the Boston Celtics have already proven that they’re back to being the competitive, fun group we’ve come to associate with Brad Stevens Celtics clubs.

Aside from a tough opening night loss to the talented Philadelphia 76ers, this Celtics team has won all of their games and they’ve looked like they’re having the time of their lives while doing it.

Beating the world champion Toronto Raptors and tough conference foe Milwaukee Bucks shouldn’t go unnoticed.  Those are two very good basketball teams, and the C’s even managed to come back from a double digit deficit to defeat Milwaukee.

More from Boston Celtics

Last year’s team wouldn’t have done that, but then again these Celtics are different.

Kemba Walker is a baller.

Walker fits in perfectly with Brad Stevens and the Celtics.  He plays hard, has a team first mindset and honestly?  He’s really been bringing it defensively.  He’s had three games in a row with over 30 points, and he genuinely looks like a leader out there.  Gordon Hayward looks fantastic, and both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown look like they’re ready to make the next step in their development.

Let’s not forget Marcus Smart either.  Smart is the heart and soul of the Boston Celtics, and the team looks like they’ve gone to the Smart school of defense.

Lack of a tough interior center has forced the C’s wings and guards to play lock down defense, and as a result they’re taking charges and forcing turnovers at a very high rate.

The Boston Celtics look like they’re ready to take on the entire NBA this season. They can really make some noise and will only get better as the season goes on.  Stay tuned, the green team is just warming up.
