The New England Patriots (10-1) have a Sunday night battle on their hands when they face Deshaun Watson, DeAndre Hopkins and the Houston Texans (7-4).

December football is here for the New England Patriots and there is a big challenge ahead when the team steps on the field against Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans Sunday night at NRG Stadium.

If there is ever a time for Texans head coach Bill O’Brien to get one against his former team it would be in this Week 13 matchup.  The Patriots come into the game with multiple players battling illness.  They also go into the game with a new kicker and an offense that is still trying to find its way.

With these two teams very familiar with one another, this should be a pretty competitive game.  Tom Brady knows it’s a big challenge even without J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney coming off the edge.  Defensively, Bill Belichick knows this will a big test for his defense going up against a young, athletic quarterback in Watson.

More from New England Patriots

Here is what the Patriots head coach had to say about the Texans quarterback during his conference with the media on Wednesday, via Patriots.com.

"“Very good in deep passes. They lead the league in long balls, deep passes. They all have a lot of production there, especially [Will] Fuller and [Kenny] Stills. He gets them down there, but he gets the ball to all his receivers, backs, tight ends. They all have a lot of production. Yeah, he can extend plays, he can run, he can extend the throw, accurate at all three levels. He’s a tough guy to handle, hard guy to tackle. He makes plays on his own.”"
