Boston Celtics soar past Cleveland Cavaliers: 3 reasons to cheer
The Boston Celtics had no problem with the Cleveland Cavaliers running off to a 110-88 victory Monday night at TD Garden.
The mark of a good team is how they take care of business against the bad teams in the NBA. On Monday night, the Boston Celtics continued to show that they are a very good team and also displayed just how deep a team they are with a 110-88 blowout victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
With Marcus Smart and Robert Williams sidelined for the game, the Celtics did have some good news with the return of Gordon Hayward.
In a game that was never really in doubt, Hayward didn’t miss a beat in his return, scoring two buckets in the first few minutes of the contest, totaling 14 points for the night.

In jumping out to as many as 29 points by the third quarter, which was started by a quick 6-0 run to start the third quarter, the Boston Celtics were off and flying all night long behind their fearful foursome of Kemba Walker, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum and Hayward.
All four players took turns leading the offense as the Cavaliers were really never in this game despite a late game run that saw that 29-point lead dwindle to 12 before the Celtics turned it back up.
Walker led the team with 22 points, Brown added 20, while Tatum recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Jordan Clarkson led the Cavaliers with 19 points, while Kevin Love scored just 7 points on 3-for-12 shooting.
